Celebrate the lives of people with disabilities at the ReelAbilities Chicago Disabilities Film Festival in Oak Park. Explore film, art and performance April 25-29 that will open your mind and heart.

Never before presented in Chicagoland, ReelAbilities Chicago Disabilities Film Festival features award-winning films, thoughtful panel discussions, art gallery works and live musical performances that bring together the community to celebrate the lives of people with disabilities.

LOCATION: Academy of Movement & Music/MOMENTA, 605 Lake Street, Oak Park, IL 60302
FILM: “Among the Giants”, documentary
AUDIENCE: "Among the Giants" is recommended for all ages.
STORY: The story of Adaptive Design Association, a nonprofit organization lthat builds customized equipment for kids and adults with disabilities, is told through two individuals who have sought help. Among The Giants brings up the topics of design, adaptation, independence, strength and courage.
SPECIAL FEATURES: Dance performance including people with physical and developmental disabilities, led by the renowned MOMENTA Performing Arts Company.
DETAILS: Parking is available along Lake Street, East Avenue and at parking meters along North Boulevard. An elevator/lift is available for those that need assistance reaching the performance space, but please plan to arrive 30 to 45 minutes early to access the elevator. Reception will occur at 1:00 pm just prior to the film at 1:30.
