There’s no need for people with developmental disabilities to be confined to an institution or segregated from the rest of society. That’s why our participants live in houses with just a few other people, scattered throughout the community. We provide the necessary support and supervision, but the house isn’t a “facility;” it’s a home.
And like every other home, our houses need some basic items to make them livable: dishes and silverware, shower curtains and towels, appliances, a television. UCP Seguin homes also require some things unique to our participants’ needs, like specially adapted tablets or furniture that can accommodate wheelchairs.
With nearly 80 houses, something somewhere always needs freshening or replacing. So it’s never too late for a HouseWarming gift!
Won’t you become a HouseWarmer today? Just click on one (or several!) of the items below, and help turn a house into a home.
