Welcome to UCP Seguin

UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is a charitable not-for-profit agency serving individuals with disabilities in metropolitan Chicago and beyond.

UCP Seguin and a statewide coalition of people with disabilities, families, service providers, and advocacy organizations need your immediate help!

Support SB955 and HB2960 which will provide a long-overdue solution to the state's caregiver crisis by raising starting wages for direct support professionals to $15 per hour.

To learn more, visit They Deserve More and contact your legislators and the Governor, urging them to support these bills.

Find the contact information for the Governor and your state senator and representative by clicking here.  Send a clear message – by phone, by email, by postcard, by letter, or in person: Ask them to Support SB955 and HB2960 – people with disabilities deserve more…they need caregivers who earn a living wage.

Please share with your family, friends, neighbors – everyone you know!

Previous bills have been stopped at the Governor’s desk.

The situation is much too dire now to be ignored.

UCP Seguin has nearly 160 vacancies among 800 positions. Bottom line: we need more dedicated individuals who believe in our mission of creating life without limits for people with disabilities. And we need an infusion of additional dollars to support these staff in performing their mission-driven duties. Comcast Newsmakers featured UCP Seguin on a recent segment to discuss this issue.

Watch Jim Haptonstahl and Ellee Pai Hong discuss these challenges here.

UCP Seguin's Mary Green was featured on WCIU's "I Love My Job" segment.  Mary has provided exceptional care to adults with disabilities at UCP Seguin for the past 6 years.  Mary loves her job and you can too!  Learn how you can grow your career at UCP Seguin here.
