Director of Medical Services Children's
DESCRIPTION
Oversee the provision of medical services and supports to persons served in Seguin's CFC program, ensuring the appropriate coordination of delivery of all health services, including those provided "in‑house", as well as services provided by consultants, contractors and community health care providers in accordance with each individual's service plan and needs, and with regulations and standards governing such services as established by state and federal regulatory agencies, applicable laws and accreditation organizations; ensure Seguin staff, foster, and biological families are trained in methods and techniques of rendering appropriate medical care and monitor the process to ensure effectiveness. Selects and supervises (orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, disciplines, commends, and directs daily activities) assigned subordinate staff utilizing measurable performance evaluation criteria to ensure staff growth, performance standards and established outcome goals are achieved, as necessary to meet the needs of persons served, and in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of the Agency.
HOURS
Primarily Monday thru Friday regular business/program hours, with scheduling flexibility to work variable hours as needed to appropriately carry out duties and responsibilities effectively and appropriate to the changing support needs of the individuals served and their families.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Nursing, with specialized coursework related to developmental and physical disabilities, geriatrics, and psychiatric services preferred. Two years experience in pediatric and/or neo‑natal nursing in hospital/health care Institutional setting; experience with or knowledge of developmental and related physical disabilities preferred. Licensed R.N. Valid IL. Drivers License. Certificate of Proof of vehicle Insurance and maintenance of such at minimum amount of coverage required by law. Current CPR card
Salary Starting: $90,000
