Is UCP Seguin a 501 (c) 3?
Yes, United Cerebral Palsy Seguin of Greater Chicago is a registered charity classified as a 501 (c) 3 by the Internal Revenue Code. Is UCP Seguin accredited or licensed in the State of Illinois?
Yes, UCP Segun is licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). UCP Seguin is accredited by CARF, The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission. We have received three-year accreditations, the highest level of accreditation awarded by CARF, eight consecutive times. UCP Seguin is also accredited by Praesidium Inc. for our outstanding practices in risk management and abuse prevention. UCP Seguin is the only agency of its kind in Illinois to be accredited by Praesidium.
What percentage of your budget is used for administrative costs?
UCP Seguin spends 88% of our budget on programs and services that we provide to individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs, and only 12% on administrative costs.
How is UCP Seguin funded?
82% of our funding is provided by the State of Illinois with federal and corporate grants, United Way, local township governments and private donations making up the remainder of our funding.
