~ Learn strategies to prevent the problem behavior from occurring.
~ Use evidence-based strategies to de-escalate a situation.
~ Stay safe while responding to dangerous behavior in an appropriate way.
~ Reduce the need to restrain an individual.
~ Determine the best way to decrease the likelihood that the problem behavior or crisis will happen again.

Essential Skills Part 1: Creating a safe environment, changing your behavior to encourage success, using reinforcement
Essential Skills Part 2: Understanding triggers and signals, de-escalating challenging behaviors, safety in the home and community
