Volunteers play a crucial role in making things happen at UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago. Without the support of our many generous volunteers, UCP Seguin's special events, evening & weekend activities and Special Olympics programs would not be possible.
Volunteers can be corporate groups, families, student organizations or individuals interested in helping adults and children with developmental disabilities and other special needs.
Volunteer projects include the following:
~ Yardwork and planting projects at one of UCP Seguin's 60+ homes
~ Helping with day program activities such as Horticulture Therapy, Fitness classes or craft projects
~ Serving on one of UCP Seguin's special event committees to help plan our annual Dare To Dream Gala or Golf Classic
~ Signing up your school to participate in UCP Seguin's Youth Leadership & Disability Awareness program
~ Working with UCP Seguin staff to provide participants with outside trips and activities - going to church services, visiting a library etc
~ Utilizing your skills and talents to provide a fun and meaningful activity for UCP Seguin participants - Hip Hop Dance Class, Arts & Crafts, Music Lessons etc -
Matching Gifts
UCP Seguin is thankful for any and all donations that our friends give of their time, talents and treasures.
In addition to your donations, many employers will match their employees gifts to charities by various amounts, sometimes double or triple the initial donation amount. In most instances, these employers require that their employees complete a matching gift donation form and file it with your employer for the matching gift to be made. Therefore, please check with the Benefits department of your employer today to determine if they have a matching gift program for which you qualify and the requirements that need to be met for your donation to qualify.
