Seasonal Sales Associate - Cashier or Support
DESCRIPTION
Maintains customer service, sales and operational support functions. Acquire knowledge of basic gardening principles, plant types and general care; process information/merchandise through computer system and cash register system; maintain positive interpersonal working relationships with customers, participant employees, volunteers and other Agency personnel; demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
Inside and outside conditions; exposure to strong odors, noise and unpredictable client behavior, occasionally unprotected from weather conditions, temperature changes, frequently uses cleaning and gardening products that contain potentially hazardous chemicals; move objects up to 30 lbs or more frequently.
Utilize and operate Agency computer equipment for word processing and data management, telephone system, and other common office equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required; Minimum of 18 years of age. Six months experience in greenhouses/garden center or retail gift shop preferred; some experience working with people with disabilities and special needs preferred. Bilingual preferred
WORK SCHEDULES
SEASONAL: April – June 2023 – Several Part-Time Seasonal positions available up to 20hrs a week.
HOURLY RANGE: $15 - $16
