Residential Healthcare Specialist
Acts as liaison between human resources and the program for the purposes of ensuring personnel paperwork is submitted in a timely fashion and is thorough and accurate. Schedule and attend all medical appointments, surgeries, pre-scheduled treatments, follow ups, etc. for the program participants. Ensure adequate documentation is completed for each appointment and forwarded to the Nursing Department and relayed to the designated team members. Maintain a database of program participant’s medical information and appointment schedule. Complete medical appointments and coordinate with the Residential Services Administrator to assist with scheduling conflicts.
High School Diploma required. Minimum of 21 years of age. Minimum of one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Computer literacy, (i.e. email/outlook, data entry, electronic monthly medical summaries). Prior scheduling experience preferred. Basic medical terminology. Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Ability to carry out directions, read and write. Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Must have Valid Drivers License, Certificate of Proof of Insurance and maintenance of such at minimum amount of coverage required by law.
Workweek is generally Monday - Friday with flexibility for early morning and later evening appointments.
