Permanency Achievement Specialist
DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will assist specialized youth in care with timely transition into long-term permanency by assisting current case management staff preparing the youth’s case for reunification, adoption and or guardianship. The position is a non-case carrying position and the potential candidate should be able to express empathy to youth and families who are undergoing transition. The candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to focus his/her attention to details of their work. The candidate should demonstrate time management skills and be able to effectively meet agency set deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in social work, or another related human service field. CWEL preferred but not required. Ability to engage with families. Must be proficient in the use of a computer to complete all documentation required to complete the duties. Experience working with children with special needs preferred, as well as experience or training in Reunification, Adoption and Sub-Guardianship. Must have a valid Illinois Driver’s License and an ability to pass a background check and be able to pass State of Illinois written examination on Licensing Standards for Foster Family Homes (402), the Child Care Act.
SALARY STARTING: $44,013
