Licensing Rep/Recruiter (Bilingual English/Spanish)
To ensure that the capabilities and motivations of prospective and current foster parents are appropriately investigated, assessed and monitored, in order to make appropriate licensing recommendation for prospective/license renewal recommendations for current foster parents in accordance with Agency and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) policies and procedures, and in a manner that ensures that children are placed with appropriate families who are able to provide care, support, stability and nurturing appropriate tot he particular physical, social and emotional needs of each child served, and within communities appropriate to the children needs. Conducts ongoing monitoring of licensed foster family homes to ensure continued compliance with applicable licensing regulations and standards,; ensures the provision and completion of designated pre and post foster parent training; received and investigates foster home licensing complains and monitors foster parent satisfaction with agency supports, training and services.
To ensure that the recruitment and training of foster parents is sufficient and appropriate to meet children's placement needs; develops and maintains a comprehensive foster and adoptive parent recruitment plan that reflects the racial and ethnic diversity of referred children; securing and plan/efforts that include both general media and targeted campaigns; updates and distributes appropriate recruitment/program information brochures and advertising.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Services files from an accredited school. Minimum of two full years of full time professional work experience in a social work setting in the field of child welfare, of which includes a minimum of 1 year of work experience in Illinois Department of Children and Family Services foster home licensing. Possess Illinois Department of Children and Family Services certification qualifying as Licensing Representative, and Child Welfare Direct Services licensure; certification in DCFS Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP) preferred. Valid Driver’s License and vehicle with proof of insurance.
Applicant must be willing to travel to all parts of the city and be part of a team. MUST BE BILINGUAL - ENGLISH/SPANISH
Monday thorough Friday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm with flexibility .
