Director of Residential Services

To provide leadership, development and coordination of Adult residential living and weekend respite services in the community, appropriate to the needs and choices of persons served, in accordance with their service plan goals and related program methodologies to maximize growth in independent living and community integration, and in a manner that facilitates cross-team collaboration, cooperation and service integration across work unit, department and organizational boundaries.

Supervisor Duties: Selects and supervises (orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, disciplines, commends and directs activities) assigned staff, utilizing measurable performance evaluation criteria for staff growth and ensuring that performance standards necessary to meet the needs of persons served are met in a manner consistent with the mission, objectives, policies, procedures and standards of Seguin Services, DHS, and all other applicable state and federal laws and regulations governing consumer services and the workplace.

Bachelor’s degree in social services, psychology or related field, preferred or its equivalent in a combination of education and experience. Minimum of 21 years of age. Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in the field of developmental disabilities and two years of administrative / management level work experience.

Work Schedule
Primarily, regular Monday through Friday business/program hours with scheduling flexibility (including weekends and evenings) to work variable hours, as needed to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities; Carries Agency pager at all times (24/7), to maintain on-call availability as needed for service provision and to ensure appropriate response to emergencies / crises of persons served.
