Director of Adult Medical Services

Oversee the provision of all medical services and supports to persons served in UCP Seguin's Adult program services, ensuring the appropriate coordination of delivery of all health services, including those provided "in house", as well as services provided by consultants, contractors and community health care providers in accordance with each individual's service plan and needs, and with regulations and standards governing such services as established by state and federal regulatory agencies, applicable laws and accreditation organizations; ensure UCP Seguin staff are trained in methods and techniques related to self administration of medication program and other applicable medical care regimes / programs appropriately and the process is monitored sufficiently to ensure effectiveness

Bachelors degree in Nursing, with specialized coursework related to developmental and physical disabilities, geriatrics, and psychiatric services preferred. A minimum of two years experience hospital/health care institutional setting; and two years additional professional/management experience in medical/social service field experience with or knowledge of developmental and related physical disabilities preferred. Licensed Registered Nurse. DHS Nurse Trainer Certificate

Work Schedule
Generally, Monday through Friday (regular business/program hours) with scheduling flexibility to work variable hours as needed to carry out duties and responsibilities effectively and appropriate to the changing support needs of persons served; carries and responds to Agency pager at all times and maintains on call availability as needed to ensure timely and appropriate response to emergencies/crises of persons served.
