Case Management Coordinator-CFC
DESCRIPTIONTo provide effective leadership and coordination of the provision of case management services performed by assigned Child Welfare Specialists, in a manner that ensures compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and standards set by the Agency and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS); meets the particular physical, social, emotional needs and permanency goals of children served; maximizes cross-team collaboration, cooperation and service integration across work unit, department and organizational boundaries.
Supervisor Responsibilities: Selects and supervises (orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, disciplines, commends and directs activities) assigned case management personnel, utilizing measurable performance evaluation criteria for staff growth and ensuring that performance standards necessary to meet the needs of children served are met in a manner consistent with the mission, objectives, policies, procedures and standards of UCP Seguin, DCFS, and all other applicable state and federal laws and regulations governing children’s foster care and the workplace.
Master's of Social Work degree from an accredited school of social work or an equivalent Master's degree in a human services field from an accredited school, as defined by DCFS. Minimum of two years of professional work experience in a social work setting,in the field of child welfare, of which includes, a minimum of 1 year of DCFS case management experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Certification in the DCFS, Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol (CERAP), and Child Welfare Direct Service licensure; DCFS certification in Foster Home Licensing Standards and the Child Care Act examination preferred. Valid Illinois Driver's License. Certificate of Proof of Insurance and maintenance of such at minimum amount of coverage required by law. Possess or acquire within first 30 days of employment, first aide, C.P.R.,updating as required.
